No Impact Week @ IDP
The No Impact Project was developed by Colin Beavan , who spent an entire year investigating his consumption habits with the goal of reducing his personal impact on the environment to nothing. His experience was documented in the film No Impact Man and the Book No Impact Man: The Adventures of a Guilty Liberal who Attempts to Save the Planet and the Discoveries he Makes about Himself and Our Way of Life in the Process.
Colin has been running weeklong No Impact Experiments over the internet and with local communities that offer daily checklists for people who want support in minimizing their impact on the environment.
The Interdependence Project is happy to be hosting the Next NYC Local No Impact Week beginning April 18th, 2010. We hope to bring together a community of people who are interested in supporting each others' search for sustainability and No Impact, mindful living.
To get started, you can take a look at a PDF of the No Impact Manual Here, and read Colin's Blog Here.
