Submitted by Darren Dyke on Fri, 6/1/2012, 11:36am
Buddhist Teachings have been practiced and transmitted for two and half thousand years making their way from India into Burma and Southeast Asia, North to Tibet & Nepal, East to China, Korea and Japan, and West to Pakistan and Afghanistan, among many other places.
Through time, the teachings have morphed and taken on new forms in whatever culture they came in contact with. Central to all authentic Buddhist lineages is a direct connection to the historical Buddha, and a dedication to uncovering the innate potential all beings are born with.
This Podcast Features Sokuzan Bob Brown in a lecture and discussion around his deep experience in both Tibetan Tantric and Soto Zen practices. What is common among the practices, and where, if any, are the paths divergent?
