IDP Associate Director Patrick Groneman interviews Hozan Alan Senauke, vice-abbott of the Berkeley Zen Center and Founder of the Clear View Project, an organization dedicated to developing Buddhist-based resources for relief and social change. This is the second of a 2 part interview. Alan is author of a new book titled "The Bodhisattva's Embrace: Dispatches from Engaged Buddhism's front lines." It is a collection of essays written over the past twenty years that reflect Alan's experience  working for both personal and social liberation, traveling to troubled places in Asia, the United States, and his own character.
