Monthly Writers Group Workshop for Meditators led by Meredith Arena

The Interdependence Project Writing Group bridges our meditation and writing practices. Our methodology is to keep the pen moving -- a conscious engagement with writing, simply and beautifully, as process. Practice teaches us to separate creator from editor and allows us to explore the raw, fecund nature our first thoughts and spontaneity without judgment or expectation.

Like meditation, our personal writing practice can serve as another means to explore our minds in an authentic, in-the-moment kind of way. Our meetings are a supportive forum for writers and meditators to explore their personal creative processes together. The monthly, three-hour sessions include sitting meditation, a variety of timed writing prompts and exercises and sharing our work.

If you could forget who you think you are, you might catch up with what you really are and can't see.
- V. Ferrini

The Theatre Research Ensemble, or TREe, is an ensemble of performers who practice art-based research that focuses on expressing the wellness benefits of regular participation in creative community engagement, and the artist's emerging role as social healer. We believe that performance is an integrative art that can liberate closed or suppressed spaces of society by creating new dialogues, promoting social wellness, and transmitting inter-cultural wisdoms. We are dedicated to the process of developing new insights into interdependence, educational methods, and social activism. The members of TREe are committed to an open source process based on the advancement of mindful habits. For more info visit TREePlays.com

A monthly life-drawing session

In Buddhist iconography, the mirror represents the sense of sight, which enables us to see clearly, piercing through illusion to perceive pure consciousness. In western culture, Lewis Carroll characterized Alice's awakening to alternate dimensions as a journey through the looking glass.

Join us as we practice the art of life drawing and experience the present moment through visual perception. We will begin class with a short meditation session.

Open to all experience and age levels. People with limited drawing experience are encouraged to experiment with the drawing process as a way to get in touch with your personal process of perception.
